
The CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health recently published an article in the Nicotine and Tobacco Research journal titled “The Long-Term Impact of the Tips From Former Smokers® Campaign on Calls to 1-800-QUIT-NOW, 2012–2023”.
This article discusses the impact mass media campaigns can have on calls to quitlines and smoking cessation. Researchers found that exposure to the CDC’s Tips From Former Smokers® campaign generated more than 2 million additional calls to 1-800-QUIT-NOW between 2012-2023.
